What should I pack, and what should I not pack for camp?

Each camp has its own list of items you will need to bring. Simply click on the page for the camp you are attending and find “What To Bring” at the bottom of the page.

What kind of activities take place at camp?

Different activities are offered at each of our camps. Please visit the page of the camp you are interested in to view the complete list. Here’s a quick view of the activities offered at some of our camps: archery, canoeing, hiking, wide field games, crafts, swimming, lake fun, rock climbing wall, indoor and outdoor sports, and high and low ropes courses.

Can my child request a cabin mate?

Camp is an exciting place for children where they can experience independence and meet new friends. In some cases, a child may want to be with one other person whom they know. If this is the case, please indicate the request on the registration form. We will try to accommodate each request where space is available, honouring one MUTUAL cabin mate request per camper. Both campers must have made the request prior to registration day and requests are NOT guaranteed.

How many campers are in a cabin?

Normally, we have six, seven or eight campers in a cabin with two counselors.

What qualifications do your counselors have?

Our summer staff are required to engage in a thorough application process which includes the submission of a formal application, references, a criminal record check and an interview. They also participate in 7 days of onsite training which includes basic first aid, activity instruction, child care skills, and spiritual discipleship. Please contact us if you have further questions regarding our Summer Staff team.

Does CPD provide any form of transportation to camp?

Unfortunately we are unable to provide rides to the camp. All campers must find their own way. We recommend that you contact local churches as their leadership may either be planning group transportation that you can join or perhaps they can post your need for a ride to their congregation.

Please Note: Because of privacy issues, we cannot give names of other families in your area who may also be coming to the same camp as your child or your family.

How do I contact my camper while they are at camp?

You can email your kids at camps@pacnaz.ca and we will print messages for the children. We reserve the responsibility to determine the method and timing of distribution in conjunction with our programming needs and schedule.
